This tool allows a team to generate ideas by looking at a problem or opportunity from a range of perspectives. This helps come up with new ideas for potential solutions, and also strengthens current offerings, as it challenges it from different approaches. Comprised of 9 approaches, or challenges, you can choose the ones that seem most applicable to take the topic at hand further, thus using the tool as a stimulating start to a discussion.
The Fast Idea Generator helps to frame ideas, problems or opportunities in relation to different scenarios. It stretches the thinking around a concept in different directions, providing a stimulating discussion that will further strengthen the concept. To use the tool effectively, the starting point (problem, opportunity, concept idea or existing proposition) should be clearly laid out.

The DIY Toolkit is a great idea and a very practical and easy to use resource. I have been using some of the tools on Generating New Ideas for Innovation Masterclass workshops I am running for a group of small business – mostly small food producers – sponsored by Gympie Regional Council here in Australia.

It is part of E- learning. I can learn more about this training after my global campaign course is complete but this website is short on knowledge. Please expand knowledge.

I am confused about whether you’re supposed to complete “the normal rule” or the bending the rule column first. I would think the normal rule but the video does it backward. Any insight? Also not sure if all the statements in the right hand column are supposed to be in the form a question

I found a few of the ideas generated to be useful and will attempt to apply them. However, I believe several more examples for each category would be helpful for avoiding confusion as to what each category is trying to discover. Perhaps, of course, the vague nature of the exercise is the whole point!

A clear tool to generate new ideas. It is scientific. I will use this tool for problem-solving and for other issues. In fact, can be used always.

i particularly like the idea that the tools enhance creativity and that is important. sometimes, we tend to remain stagnant with the status quo.
i would be much interested if the tools would further help in proof of concepts
